Business Leader of the Year

Be the Business, the not-for-profit organisation created to tackle the UK’s productivity problem, is proud to sponsor the brand-new Business Leader of the Year Award at this year’s Cornwall Tourism Awards.

Created in partnership with the award organisers, Services for Tourism, the award is designed to celebrate leadership in Cornish tourism, aiming to encourage and inspire local companies in hospitality moving forwards.

The winner will have demonstrated an outstanding ability to:

o   Engage, motivate and up-skill members of their team

o   Create an environment that encourages innovation

o   Integrate a cohesive vision and values into the business

o   Innovate and make their business stand out in a competitive market

o   Adapt the business by listening to customers

o   Embrace the use of digital technology

o   Inspire other businesses through their passion and success

Nominations will be made by businesses themselves, Cornwall Tourism Awards judges and partner organisations.

This award is the latest development in Be the Business’ Cornish Hospitality Leaders Network (CHLN), which flies the flag of business improvement within the Cornish hospitality sector. With over 200 business leaders and established links to high-profile industry players, the CHLN supports its members to boost productivity and improve competitiveness.

Nominations for the award close on Friday 16 August. Entrants will then be considered by a panel of industry leaders, with interviews of short-listed nominees beginning on the week of the 9 September, please click here for full details.
